This show will discuss a very unique way for dogs, including rescue dogs, to contribute to the community. Most assisted canine therapy dogs venture into visiting nursing homes, children with needs organizations, or educational institutions. But for Anthony Silva, he takes them down the 007 route. These dogs get to become law enforcement agents to sniff out the very things we run away from including: narcotics, bombs, even bed bugs. Let’s listen to the stories of our 007 canine friends and what we don’t see in everyday life!

Anthony Silva is known for training dogs, including rescues, to be espionage working dogs. He attended a Bomb Dog school at Vohne Liche Kennels in early 2009 and continued to work with the navy for a short time after until he ventured to Afghanistan until 2011.

Returning to Massachusetts, US, Anthony was recruited by a pest control company to train their bed bug sniffing dogs. Currently, he is working on training narcotic detection dogs for private use in homes, schools and businesses. His volunteer work is with Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog to promote K9 safety, raise money to provide bulletproof vests for police dogs as well as training personal protection dogs.
